Even if I uncheck the box in the settings: Reveal expanded files in the Finder option, it steals focus and does not let me work peacefully. I tried using the unzip.zip command in the Terminal. But it unzips all the files in the zip files into the same folder creating a mess. Zip -r -s 64 archive.zip FolderName/ 64 is the size of the split (in this case 64Mb). Use -s to set the split size and create a split archive.
